All over the country cities have been protesting peacefully and others full on riots. The people are fed up with Police Brutality and don’t know what else to do.
Here in Atlanta both has happened and I’m happy to see burning cop cars. Yes they defaced CNN, NFL Hall of Fame Room, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Target, Lenox Mall, AT&T but not Waffle House. They knew tons of people (black people) are employed there so they left it alone. That’s the beauty in this all, even in outrage they managed to direct it at corporations that stand with the system. It’s a huge relief to see unification in the city, individuals from different races ALL standing against a malicious system designed to help its family and destroy everyone else.
Today protesters gathered in front of the Capital building to have a sit-in. Again, different races gathered in honor of every life taken by power hungry cops, to protest peacefully. Downtown was filled with APD on stand by, (many black officers) assisted by the National Gaurd (many white soldiers). It was interesting to just see these officers and soldiers faces, just normal people like us all.
Oh America what poison did those Europeans unleash on your graceful land so many years ago?
This corrupt system shall crumble and a new will sore like a Phoenix from piles of ash. Peace to the Gods whom shall soon unleash a wrath of vengeance to restore natural order on this land.
May peace be with us all.
An African Tale
To be Black in America is to have feelings of uncertainty about the law and so called “protectors of the people”. As another video of police brutality reaches the masses, anger grows a bit more inside. Someone’s life was taken away from them in an instant, and unrightfully so. All of our emotions are captured in this painting.
